Jean-Philippe Tessonnier is an Associate Professor and the Richard C. Seagrave Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Iowa State University. He is also a member of the Center for Biorenewable Chemicals (CBiRC). His research interests are at the intersection of heterogeneous catalysis, electrocatalysis, and organic electrosynthesis. Prof. Tessonnier co-authored 90 publications that gathered more than 6,000 citations. He has served on the Executive Committee of the GPCS since 2017 and he chaired the 2022 GPCS Fall Symposium. His objective as President is to expand the GPCS membership by encouraging the participation of academic and industrial experts in homogeneous catalysis, theoretical catalysis, and electrocatalysis.
