Luke Roling is an Assistant Professor in Chemical & Biological Engineering at Iowa State University. He holds BS degrees from ISU and a PhD from Wisconsin-Madison. He completed a postdoc at Stanford/SUNCAT before joining ISU in 2018. Luke’s research group uses computations to understand reaction mechanisms and design catalysts, with particular emphasis on structure sensitivity. Luke was a co-organizer of the 2022 GPCS Symposium and has co-organized the GPCS Webinar Series since the start of 2022. His primary goal as a Director will be to expand the reach of the GPCS by developing connections with synergistic communities in the region.
