The 2025 Great Plains Catalysis Society Award is presented to Professor Jeffery White, Oklahoma State University’s Professor, and BP Chair in Chemical Engineering.
Over the past several decades in both academia and industry, Dr. White has made seminal contribution to understand the structure and function of zeolite materials and mechanistic insights into acid-catalyzed reactions of industrial importance. His significant contributions to the field have led to the discovery of the hydrocarbon pool in methanol-to-olefins chemistry, the discovery of a new catalytically active framework bound Al species in zeolites that contribute to activity, and improved understanding of the role of water on zeolite catalysis and structure. Dr. White’s accomplishments as a scientist and an educator epitomize the spirit of the Great Plains Catalysis Society Award, making him an exemplary honoree for this Award.
Dr. White will present a plenary lecture at the GPCS 2025 Symposium on August 11 in Ames, IA. Please join us on August 11 at the GPCS 2025 Fall Symposium in Ames, IA to celebrate Jeff's Award.
