GPCS is a local chapter of the North American Catalysis Society (NACS), and seeks to promote fellowship and collaborations among the chemists, chemical engineers, material scientists, and other scientists in the Great Plains region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma) who are interested in catalysis and related fields.

Oct 2024: GPCS is accepting nominations for the President-elect and two Director positions on the Executive Committee. May 2024: Prof. Bala Subramaniam of University of Kansas has been selected to receive the 2024 GPCS Award for making seminal contributions in catalysis that promote decarbonization & sustainability. Bala will present a plenary lecture at the GPCS Symposium on Aug 24, 2024, in Norman, OK. Read full award citation.
