James Blakemore

James Blakemore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kansas. His research focuses study of mechanisms of redox-induced chemical reactions, including applications in heavy element chemistry and molecular electrocatalysis of CO2 reduction and H2 generation. He has previously assisted with the 2021 GPCS Fall Symposium and served as a discussion panelist at that meeting. If elected, he aspires to enhance the visibility of molecular catalysis within GPCS through i) involvement of experts from the region and beyond and ii) organization of virtual tutorials on topics in molecular catalysis.
